BCSC and SDC Zine-Making Workshop with Daniela Capistrano
Join us for an evening of zine-making guided by Daniela “Dani” Capistrano (she/they), artist and founder of the POC Zine Project. Since 2010, the POC Zine Project (@poczineproject on Twitter and IG) has been working “to make all zines by people of color easy to find, distribute, and share.” In this workshop, Dani will give a brief overview of the zine medium and will guide participants in the creation of their own zine. This will be a hybrid event, with in person and remote accessible participation options — attendees are invited to choose their preferred mode of engagement. All identities and levels of zine experience are welcome.
Co-sponsored by the Brown Center for Students of Color, the Sarah Doyle Center for Women and Gender, and the Women's History Series.
