DCAP MEDIA LLC is a Certified LGBTBE® Enterprise.
DCAP MEDIA LLC founder & CEO Daniela Capistrano (She/They) is proud to share that their application for certification as a Certified LGBT Business Enterprise® (Certified LGBTBE®) was approved on August 20, 2021. NGLCC is the largest LGBTQ+ business advocacy organization in the world; and DCAP MEDIA is now a part of this ever-growing international movement.
“As a queer latinx non-binary entrepreneur and business owner, it was important to me to connect with other LGBTQIA-led businesses, and to access more opportunities with diverse suppliers and partners. My Certified LGBTBE® status will support my goal to work with even more LGBTQIA-led businesses and LGBTQIA-ally businesses. It’s important to me to attract and retain clients who share my values — and who openly support the fight for LGBTQIA rights,” said Capistrano.
The NGLCC is the exclusive, third-party certification body that verifies that eligible businesses are majority-owned by LGBT individuals, and subsequently grants Certified LGBT Business Enterprise® (Certified LGBTBE®) designation to such businesses as part of its LGBT Supplier Diversity Initiative.
Representing DCAP MEDIA LLC, Capistrano will attend the NGLCC 2021 Back to Business Summit in Hollywood, Florida in November, where they will take full advantage of innovative leadership programming, as well as networking and engagement opportunities for LGBTQ+ and allied business leaders. Cutting-edge educational programs will include inspiring keynote speakers, an affiliate chamber educational track, one-on-one Matchmaker meetings between suppliers and Fortune 500 companies, and much more.
“Like many business owners during this pandemic (and Hurricane Ida!), I have explored different strategies for sustaining and scaling my business through all of the challenges. I am grateful to still be in business in 2021, to be a member of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce and Gulf South LGBTQ Chamber in New Orleans, and to achieve Certified LGBTBE® status,” said Capistrano. “As a board member with Fund 17, I am committed to sharing all knowledge and resources I gain through the NGLCC with LGBTQIA-led businesses in New Orleans — and all emerging businesses that take advantage of Fund 17’s programming.”
There are an estimated 1.4 million LGBTQ+-run companies in the U.S., accounting for $1.7 trillion a year in revenue, according to the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).
